Deutsche Telekom and Google Cloud are expanding their partnership by the end of the decade with the intention of deepening their cooperation on cloud migration and AI.
Within the Agrement, Google Cloud will be the preferred partner of Deutsche Telekom to move key areas to the cloud. This included work on the One Data Ecosystem ecosystem (from), the Platform Love in Consolidation of Data Systems on the spot and inserting AI into its infrastructure.
Deutsche Telekom also intends to use the AI Google Vertex AI to develop and scaling of Gemini -based applications. The company expects to increase their efforts to promote efforts to the needs of customers faster.
Stefan Schloter, CIO Europe in Deutsche Telekom, said that the group is moving towards the “AI-Frivest” approach focusing on improving agility and digital services across software and customer interfaces. He quoted an example such as the migration of the basic SAP SAP Deutsche Telekom systems on the Google Cloud and the use of the Gemini Multimodal Live API in Mymagenta as signs of progress in cooperation.
Marianne Janik, Vice President of EMEA North in Google Cloud, said Cloud Technology plays a growing role in how communication services providers approach innovation and services. Shen said that Google Cloud will continue working with Deutsche Telekom to help develop new services for user -heading.
Companies have already worked. In 2021, Deutsche Telekom, Google Cloud and Deutsche’s IT Services ARM T-Systems launched a sovereign cloud. The Sovereign Cloud includes two configurations: a “supervisor” by a physically operated T-System and separate from Google Cloud’s wider infrastructure and a “hosted cloud” based on Google’s distributed cloud designed for customers with high sovereignty.
In 2022, Deutsche Telekom announced that it would host its 5G core in Google Cloud, with T-Systems controlling deployment in Germany. IT Services operates 16 data centers across the country, with a total capacity of 130 megawatts and expectations will be expanded with five other pages announced at the end of 2024.
Google Cloud also builds its infrastructure in Germany, with regions in Frankfurt and Berlin, which were introduced in 2017 and 2023. At the end of 2024, the company began offering the possibilities of state storage in cooperation with Stackit.
